Maryland Children’s Health Program (MCHIP)
The MCHIP program was recently created by the federal government to provide healthcare coverage to children from birth through 19 years, and pregnant women from conception through two months post partum. This program makes healthcare coverage available to children in uninsured working families where the parents have more income than the financial limitations of other programs allow in the Family and Children (FAC) category.
The MCHIP Program is administered by each state’s local Health Department
Providing coverage for the pregnant mother, newborn child, and young children, not only allows access to health care maintenance, but helps prevent the onset of serious health conditions.
Many of the applicants are not able to complete the MCHIP application for themselves. Hospital Support Service, Inc. is here to complete it for them.
